I am an artist.  Sculpture, drawing, and painting are my first love. Creating is at the core of my being.

When I was 17 years old, I enrolled at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City.  I graduated two years later with an AAS in Jewelry Design. I then went on to complete a BA degree. At that time, I took a corporate job in order to pay off my student loans. I promised myself that I would one day return to my roots as an artist.

Everyone comes into this world with special gifts, and it is important for each person to make those gifts manifest on earth, as only they can do.
That is at the center of my beliefs. And so I always knew that I must return to creating art.

In 2006, I created meliae.com to show my work. More recently, I  established myself as business. It is my mission to bring beautiful, thoughtfully-created, sculptural jewelry to you. Please sign up on my mailing list to be alerted to new offerings.
